Reuters reported that BNP Paribas has appointed Mr Mikko Rusi as European head of base and precious metals sales within the bank's global equities and commodity derivatives business.

Mr Rusi joined France's BNP on December 6 and will be based in London. He will report directly to Jose Cogolludo, global head of sales and marketing for commodity derivatives at BNP Paribas.

Mr Rusi has previously worked at US banks JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs.
