StockMarketWire reported that Russia zinc and zinc alloy producer Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant produced 39,576 tonnes of salable SHG zinc and zinc based alloys in the Q1, 3% up on last year. It said that 53.6% of metal was supplied to the domestic market.

CZP's affiliated company, Nova Zinc operator of Akzhal zinc and lead ore mine in Kazakhstan, produced stripping works 1,141,000 cubic metres in January to March 32% more than a year ago and processed 421,600 tonnes of ore 40% more than last time.
