
Regnum cited Mr Andrey Kozitsin director of Ural’s Metallurgic & Mining Company as saying that Chelyabinsk Zinc deal is completely finalized and majority ownership belongs to the largest Russian non ferrous groups.
Mr Andrey Kozitsin remarked that he is satisfied with the management and organization of production at the Chelyabinsk Zinc so no radical changes are planned. By estimates of Mr Andrey Kozitsin in 2010 it’s possible to produce up to 153,000 tonnes of zinc at the plant it means the level before downturn.
He said that we’d like to remind that Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant is the largest zinc producer in Russia with 64% share in Russian zinc output. In 2008 the plant produced 150 thousand tons of zinc.
