China discovers world largest tungsten mine

The country’s Ministry of Land announced that China has discovered the world’s largest tungsten by now.

The tungsten mine which was found in South China’s Jiangxi Province after 18 months' survey has a reserve of 1.06 million tonne more than the overall existing tungsten reserve of the province.

The ministry said that the underlying value of the mine is estimated at over 300billion yuan. A major investor of the detection, Xiamen Tungsten Company Limited is also the largest tungsten manufacturer in the world with a reserve of about 600,000 tonne and contributed 35% of China’s exported tungsten products.

The company’s tungsten business is expected to grow substantially after the newly detected mine which will increase the tungsten supply.
