China has issued the second batch of export quotas for silver and some minor metals.

Chinese ministry of commerce MOFCOM has set the quota for molybdenum export was set at 3,130 tonnes in the second half.

The government has also set the quota for indium and indium products at a combined total of 93 tonnes as compared with 140 tonnes issued in the first batch.

China is the world's largest producer of indium and accounts for almost three quarters of world reserves and about half of production, a small but vital component for flat-panel screens in television and computer monitors.

The ministry has not issued a second batch of export quota for rare earths.
