Reuters reported that Chile's Codelco federation of union workers could demonstrate in support of strikers at the giant Collahuasi copper mine.

Mr Raimundo Espinoza head of the group said that “We could enter a mobilization process if needed.”

He did not say if demonstration could mean stoppages but past threats of solidarity strikes have not materialized.
