The Joint Venture partners White Cliff Minerals Limited and T2Gold Private Limited announced final drilling results from the 2011 drilling program at the 90% owned Chanach gold and copper project in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Drilling has intersected significant gold mineralization associated with porphyry copper mineralization at depth in drill hole CHDD019. The gold mineralization is widespread and occurs from 109 meters to 289 meters with 180 meters at 0.15 gram per tonne gold and 0.2% copper. Within this mineralized zone there are several zones with higher grades of copper and gold.

The highest gold assay is 1.13 gram per tonne gold and the peak copper assay is 2.06% Cu with 0.35 gram per tonne gold. The presence of the gold mineralization at depth is associated with argillic alteration consistent with the outer zoning of a major copper and gold porphyry system.

In drill hole CHDD024 located 300 meters west of CHDD019 supergene copper mineralization was intersected from surface to 80 meters depth with an average grade of 0.5% copper including 10 meters at 1% copper from 12 meters. Weak sulphide mineralization was also encountered over an additional 120 meters at 0.14% copper from 80 meters to 200 meters.

Mr Todd Hibberd MD of White Cliff Minerals Limited said that “The gold and copper results are quite outstanding considering that they occur on the outer edges of the mineralized system. The new intersections continue to demonstrate that the Chanach project has the potential to develop into a large copper-gold resource. The identification of gold associated with copper in the 2011 drilling program substantially improves the potential economics of the project. The joint venture partners are now planning the 2012 exploration program which is focussed on identifying the core of the mineralized system.”
