
Copper market deficit of around 400000 tonnes seen in 2012 - ICSG
Reuters reported that Global demand for refined copper is expected to exceed production by about 400,000 tonnes in 2012 but the market is projected to move into a production surplus the following year.
The International Copper Study Group expects increased output from new and existing mines to reverse a 3 year deficit trend with a surplus of 458,000 tonnes expected in 2013.
