Proactive Investors reported that GBM Resources has begun USD 2.5 million copper gold drilling program at the company’s Brightlands Copper Gold Project in Queensland.
Drilling at the Milo Prospect within the project seeks to confirm and increase the initial exploration target of 30 to 80 million tonnes of copper at between 0.8% and 1.2%. The drill program at Milo will consist of 10 holes from 3,500 meters to test the depth and strike of mineralization.
Positive results from the drilling program at Milo will provide basis for a Preliminary Feasibility study in 2012. Drilling at the Tiger T2 Prospect within the project will target high grade copper gold mineralization and follow up on the indicated iron oxide copper gold potential.
Exploration will consist of 10 holes for 1,000 meters to test the strike continuation. Both prospects are located adjacent to the Barkly Highway in Northwest Queensland.
