Reuters reported that Japanese copper wire and cable shipments amounted to an estimated 57,800 tonnes in September down 17.4% from a year earlier.

Data provided by the Japanese Electric Wire and Cable Makers' Association showed that was up from actual 50,531 tonnes in August.
