
China Knowledge reported that Jiangxi Copper Co Ltd the largest copper producer in China has posted CNY 4.23-billion net profit for the first half of this year reflecting jump of 99.07%YoY.
The company said in a statement that its operating revenue in the first half surged 57.89%YoY to CNY 59.32 billion. Earnings per share were CNY 1.22 higher than CNY 0.70 in the same period of 2010.
In the first six months of 2011, Jiangxi Copper saw its cathode copper output swell 7.3%YoY to 485,000 tonnes, gold output soar 23.3%YoY to 12,840 kilograms, silver output surge 25.74%YoY to 298 tons, copper wire output swell 3.02%YoY to 205,000 tonnes and sulphuric acid output decline 1.64%YoY to 1.2 million tonnes.
