Copper and zinc miner Kagara has appointed Mr Mark Hands as executive general manager corporate, who will also serve as the company secretary and general counsel.

Mr Hands has more than 25 years legal and commercial experience, mostly in the mining industry and most recently was company secretary for Straits Resources, a position he held for three years.

Mr Hands replaces David Peterson, who retired on December 31, 2011.
