Trading Charts reported that below are the three companies in the Aluminum industry with the lowest betas. Lower beta stocks mean minimal volatility and are therefore generally considered to be a less risk and offer more stable returns.
Kaiser Aluminum ranks lowest with a beta of 1.2. Alcoa is next with a beta of 1.4. Alumina ranks third lowest with a beta of 1.5. Noranda Aluminum follows with a beta of 1.9 and Century Aluminum rounds out the bottom five with a beta of 2.0.
