
Kentor Gold from just channel sampling of outcropping granite has intersected some high grade gold and copper at the Bekbulaktor gold prospect which is located in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The highlight was 12 meters at 14.07 grams per tonne gold and 1.83% copper at the western zone which now rounds out the exploration in the area for 2011.
Results from the central zone include 37 metres at 2.65 gram pert tonne gold with the eastern zone 10 meters at 2.53 gram per tonne gold and the northern zone 11.5 meters at 2.83 gram per tonne gold and 0.13% copper.
The company is now planning a 2012 drilling program for the prospect after the 2011 program was focused on providing an understanding of the potential of a large zone of mineralized granite that was studied in the 2009 and 2010 field seasons.
Mr Simon Milroy MD of Kentor Gold said that "The results this year the extent of the prospect and the high grade of the samples further increase our expectations of the mining potential at Bekbulaktor."
