
Lundin Mining faces 1 week work stoppage at Neves Corvo copper mine in Portugal
Lundin Mining Corporation received notice from the union representing employees at its Neves Corvo copper mine in Portugal that they plan a total work stoppage from May 5th to May 12th 2010.
Lundin said that the adherence to this action is not clear and further details will be provided when available.
In February, the Neves Corvo mine employees commenced 2 hour strikes at the beginning of each shift and demanded salary increases in the order of 17% on base pay. Earlier this month, the company had said that the employees ended their limited industrial action.
