Minmetals extends USD 1 billion Anvil offer to Jan 11

Reuters reported that Chinese group Minmetals Resources was extending its USD 1.3 billion takeover offer for Africa focused Anvil Mining to January 11th 2012.

The offer of CAD 8.00 per share had been due to close on December 9th 2011. Anvil is 39% owned by commodities trader Trafigura.
