Base metals posted enormous gains last week at LME amid positive sentiments among investors propelled by hopes of pull on demand side arising out of reconstruction efforts in Japan..
The positive mood among investors was further supported by stronger US economic data, which reflected that US economy grew at a faster than expected pace in the October to December period.
They also garnered support from a stronger equities market, as the stock market is considered an indicator of economic health and typically boosts base metal prices.
