Mr Ansuman Das has been appointed as the new director of National Aluminum Company Limited. The post had fallen vacant following superannuation of Mr KK Mallick. Prior to the new assignment, Mr Das was serving the Company as ED at NALCO Corporate office.

After graduating in Mechanical Engineering from REC, Rourkela in 1976, Mr Das started his career with the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and joined NALCO in 1982 as Senior Engineer in Project and Technical service Department at Bhubaneswar. He has also done his MBA from University of Hull, UK.

Mr Das while working at NALCO in various capacities has significantly contributed towards research and formulation of marketing policies and guidelines for sale of products in domestic and overseas market. During his professional career, Mr Das has also been instrumental in devising various strategies for domestic sale and export of rolled products, cast strips and other specialty products. With his induction as director the NALCO Board has been further strengthened.
