
Japan's Nippon Light Metal Company said recently that the company plans to invest JPY 1.4 billion in its Thailand's aluminum processing center NikkeiSiam and to set up one new cold rolled machine and annealing furnace.
Once those equipment systems are set up it will help NikkeiSiam's annual capacity rise from 22,000 tonnes to 38,000 tonnes. The new rolling equipment system is provided by Italy's Danieli. Meanwhile, its maximum rolling width is 1,500 mm, the rolling speed is 1200 mm per minutes and the maximum coil weight is 7.5 tonnes.
NikkeiSiam plans to have 17,500 tonnes of output in 2010, 45% will be for automobile's heat exchanger usage.
