Gold copper explorer Paradigm Metals has reported visible base metal sulphide mineralization from its Kangiara drilling program near Boorowa in New South Wales located about 100 kilometers north of Canberra.

As per release twelve RC percussion holes have been completed for a total advance of 1700 meters of which 9 have intersected significant zones of visible base metal mineralization from depths as shallow as 5 meters over interpreted true widths of between 15 meters to 60 meters.

Mineralization in the drill holes is polymetallic, lead and zinc sulphides are dominant at the shallow northern end while copper sulphide mineralization appears to be dominant in the eastern footwall and to the south.

Drill hole KAN004 has returned significant sulphide intersection, including 17 meters at 0.4 gram per tonne of gold, 11 gram per tonne of silver, 3.1% lead + zinc from 124 meters including 5 meters at 1 gram per tonne gold, 22 gram per tonne of silver, 6.3% lead + zinc from 126 meters depth. KAN003 was deepened from 160 meters to 203 meters following an intersection of 30 meters at 0.9 gram per tonne of Au, 0.55% Cu, 17 gram per tonne of Ag, 0.4% Pb+Zn from 130 meters to 160 meters.

Paradign is awaiting assays of chalcopyrite mineralization from 160 meters to 190 meters, as well as KAN005 and KAN009 with thick sulphide intersections in KAN007, 008, 010, 011 and 012 being sampled;

Paradigm Metals, which has key projects located in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales and the Cloncurry region of Queensland, reports drilling has been stopped temporarily for a two week rig maintenance period.
