Recently listed Silver City Minerals has commenced drilling at the Golden King project near Broken Hill, New South Wales, testing for copper and gold mineralization at the old Golden King mine.

The initial program comprises about 1000 meters of reverse circulation percussion drilling in up to nine holes and is part of 10,000 meter program designed to test 6 priority targets. The company was admitted to the ASX in July after offering 50 million shares at USD 0.20 to raise USD 10 million.

Drilling has already returned promising results at the company's Allendale project including 10 meters at 16% lead plus zinc and 29 grams per tonne silver from 15 meters. A follow up program of drilling is currently in the planning stages.

Also, the company has now completed six holes for 606 meters at the Maybell silver project and six holes for 920 meters at Stephens Trig and results for these holes are pending.

Silver City has entered into an option agreement to acquire three Mining Leases that contain 300 meters of strike of the historic Golden King Mine. The remainder of the old workings and outcropping lode rocks which comprise 500 meters of strike are located within Silver City’s Euriowie Exploration Licence.
