Southern Cross Goldfields has intersected mineralization down plunge of the volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization at the Copper Bore Project in Western Australia.

Assays from step out diamond drilling include:
1. 4 meters at 2.2% copper, 0.7 grams per tonne gold, 3.1% zinc, 14.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.2% lead including 2.6 metres at 3% copper, 0.9 grams per tonne gold, 4.2% zinc, 19.2 grams per tonne silver, 0.2% lead and

2. 5 meters 2% copper, 1.9 grams per tonne gold, 7.1% zinc, 25.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.4% lead.

These latest results mean that volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization at Southern Gossan is confirmed over 150 meters strike to a depth of 230 meters remaining open down-plunge and along strike to the north and south.

Southern Cross plans to undertake further step out drilling below and along strike of the latest holes along with further electromagnetic and aeromagnetic surveys prior to the end of 2011. This comprehensive mapping, electromagnetic and drilling campaign will continue into the New Year seeking to define additional walk up drill targets.
