Tantalite at 9 year high on demand
Reuters reported that prices of tantalite soared to 9 year highs due to rising demand and falling supplies of the metal used in electronics and to make turbine blades for jet engines.
Traders said that tantalite on the European spot market has jumped more than 25 percent to USD 60 per lb to USD 70 per lb from USD 48 to USD 54 earlier this month.
