
UBS AG said that aluminum will average USD 1.01 a pound this year and USD 1.15 a pound next year, with demand growing faster than supply next year.
According to the report, copper’s average will fall from USD 3.60 a pound this year to USD 3.20 a pound next year when supply and demand will be in balance after a shortage this year, Peter Hickson, an analyst at the bank. It added that nickel will strengthen throughout 2012 and average USD 8.98 a pound this year and USD 9.40 a pound next year while zinc falls from USD 1.03 a pound to USD 1 a pound next year.
