Reuters reported that Russia's Urals Mining and Metals Company expects this year's refined copper output to reach 356,918 tonnes up 8% from 2009.

UMMC said that 2009 refined copper output totalled 330,129 tonnes. The company also said it would invest more than RUB 2 billion in new equipment this year as part of USD 130 million projects to raise annual copper output to 500,000 tonnes between 2012 and 2014.
