The United States International Trade Commission determined that there is a reasonable indication that a US industry is materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of seamless refined copper pipe and tube from China and Mexico that are allegedly sold in the US at less than fair value.
Commissioners Mr Charlotte R Lane, Mr Irving A Williamson and Mr Dean A Pinkert made affirmative determinations. Chairman Mr Shara L Aranoff, vice chairman Mr Daniel R Pearson and Commissioner Mr Deanna Tanner Okun made affirmative determinations on the basis of threat.
As a result of the Commission's affirmative determinations, the US Department of Commerce will continue to conduct its antidumping duty investigations on imports of this product from China and Mexico, with its preliminary determinations due on or about March 9th 2010.
