Weststar Resources Corporation said that it has completed the first phase of drilling operations on the Axe project, an advanced stage project with a known historical porphyry copper resource. The property consists of 21 mineral claims, located 20 kilometres north of Princeton in British Columbia.
More Core Diamond Drilling Services Limited of Stewart was retained for four diamond drill holes. Drilling in 2009 was intended to update 2006 drill results from a gold bearing target identified within the West Zone as well as test geophysical targets in the South Zone.
A total of 503.3 meters was drilled and presently a total of 369 metres of drill core and 8 trench samples have been shipped to ALS Chemex Labs in North Vancouver for analysis. Results from analytical work should be available within 3 to 4 weeks.
