
Gulf News reported that as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility commitments towards the UAE, Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company hosted a workshop on renewable energy solutions on Wednesday at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Organised by the Petroleum Institute, the workshop, themed Industrial Renewable Energy Applications was opened by Mr Ali Rashid Al Jarwan CEO of Adma Opco. It was attended by a number of the company's divisional managers and PI representatives along with a galaxy of international speakers specializing in areas of renewable energy.
Delivering the workshop keynote speech, Mr Al Jarwan underscored his company's commitment to observing the principles of sustainable energy and promotion of the image of Abu Dhabi as a regional and international hub for the future energy solutions.
Mr Al Jarwan said that applying the directives of Mr Yousuf Omair Bin Yousuf CEO of Adnoc, Adnoc and Group of Companies have set a strategic goal to stop gas and oil flaring which happen as a result of production and testing processes of oil.
He said that the use of solar energy, the control of industrial waste and the introduction of a zero flaring policy are high on the company's business agenda.
