Adma confirms USD 402 m offshore deal to NPCC

MEED reported that Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company has confirmed the award of a USD 402 million engineering, procurement and construction contract to the local National Petroleum Construction Company.

The contract is for the construction of the offshore section of its major integrated gas development at Umm Shaif in Abu Dhabi. The contract covers the construction of an offshore gas dehydration platform and flare system linked by a bridge to the existing Umm Shaif super complex of oil and gas platforms. It also includes a 38 kilometers long, 46 inch pipeline linking the Umm Shaif complex to the Das Island processing facility.

As per report, recently NPCC had won the contract, estimating its value at USD 350 million to USD 400 million.

Adma said that the contract was awarded on April 2nd and the 2 companies signed the contract on June 15th. The state-owned offshore operator values the contract at USD 402 million.

The IGD scheme is USD 5 billionn project covering the production and transfer of more than 700 million cubic feet a day of high pressure gas from the offshore Umm Shaif and Khuff reservoirs to new onshore processing facilities at Habshan and Ruwais via Das island. Bids for EPC contracts covering the onshore portion of the scheme are due in July.
