Trade Arabia reported that Agility Project Logistics has signed a AUD 250 million agreement with Chevron Australia to provide supply and transportation services to the Gorgon gas project in Australia.

A JV between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron, Exxon Mobil and Shell, the Gorgon project aims to develop the greater Gorgon gas field located between 130 kilometers and 200 kilometers off the north-west coast of Western Australia.

The Greater Gorgon gas fields contain resources of about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas, Australia’s largest known undeveloped gas resource.

Mr Mick Turnbull MD of Agility Australia said that “This is a significant step for the company as it continues to develop the world class logistic operations to support the Australian offshore oil and gas industry.”

He said that “This project will require significant investment and recruitment and will have an important impact on the West Australian economy.”
