Dubai based steel distributor Alam Steel announced that it has received ISO certification 9001-2008.

The certificate was given according to international specification and was conferred by GCAS, which is the local Accreditation authority.

Mr Shyam Bhatia founder and chairman of Alam Steel said that the ISO certification is yet another great achievement for the Alam Group.

Mr Bhatia also said that the procedures and process required to attain this achievement were spread over a period of time.

He said “All our practices were rigidly verified and evaluated only after which the concerned experts concluded that we were competent enough to receive the certification.”

Alam Steel Industries was the first rebar processing factory in the Middle East to be awarded the prestigious UK-based CARES certification in October 2007.
