
Arabian business cited Mr Riad Kamal CEO of Arabtec as saying that company will bid for further work in Abu Dhabi while it is also eyeing projects in Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Syria. Bahrain, Egypt and Syria are among the markets being considered for new projects by UAE construction giant Arabtec.
He said that Abu Dhabi's property sector presented promising opportunities for the company with more projects being bid for. He added that Arabtec’s 2 projects in Saudi Arabia were on target, while those in Dubai were being completed.
New opportunities were also being looked at in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Libya and Syria with the company's board discussing plans to establish partnerships in Bahrain and Libya after agreeing to set up subsidiaries in Lebanon and Egypt.
