
Arabian Business reported that UAE based Belhasa Projects had has secured three new projects in India, on the back of its work for the Commonwealth Games which were held in the country last year.
The sports facility construction specialists have been awarded a contract to build running tracks for India's Central Bureau of Investigation Training Centre in Ghaziabad. It has also won deals to build running tracks in the Dharamshala Stadium in the state of Himachal Pradesh and one for the Indian Navy in Kochi of Kerala.
Mr Albert Joseph business development manager of Belhasa Projects said that "India is a strong growth market for us. The running tracks we built for the Commonwealth Games in India were our entry point into the country's sports and coatings industry. Today, we have successfully completed several projects for the government and are on track to complete new assignments we are keen to make use of opportunities in emerging markets like India."
The company has supplied and installed seven running tracks in India over the past year. Six of them were laid in different locations in New Delhi for the Commonwealth Games and one in the city of Rohtak.
Belhasa Projects offers total construction of sports facilities and has completed sports flooring for various games including rugby, football, hockey and tennis.
