
The News reported that the concerned businessmen, industrialists, traders of the city would stage a protest sit in at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday against 12 hours power load shedding in the industrial zones of the city, crippling the industrial activity and production.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry where representatives of all the industrial associations and other trade bodies in the city participated.
KCCI President Mian Abrar Ahmad told The News that the industrialists, businessmen, traders, and other members of the Karachi Chamber would gather at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday at 3pm and later stage a two-hour protest sit in there against the prevailing 12 hour power load shedding in the industrial areas.
He said that probably this was the first time the businessmen of the city were forced to register their protest in such an overt manner as 12 hours power load shedding in the industrial areas had caused serious problems for the industries.
