Gulf O&G reported that CB&I have been awarded a contract, valued in excess of USD 530 million by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited.

CB&I's scope of work includes providing engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of 6 low temperature/cryogenic storage tanks, 2 ambient storage tanks and the associated piping, controls, power distribution and civil works systems.

The project is part of the expansion of GASCO's Integrated Gas Development project in Ruwais, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. CB&I recently completed 4 cryogenic tanks for GASCO at the same site.

Mr Philip K Asherman president and CEO of Chicago Bridge and Iron Company said that "This contract demonstrates our strong and ongoing relationship with GASCO and builds on our extensive experience in Abu Dhabi where we have completed hundreds of projects since 1965."

He said that "We appreciate GASCO's recognition of CB&I's performance on our previous work."
