Emirates Business reported that China Architectural Engineering a firm specializing in design, engineering, fabrication and installation of high end building envelope systems has been awarded two new contracts for projects valued at USD 80 million in Dubai and Singapore. It also reported that its project backlog has increased to a new record of USD 245 million.

Mr Ken Yi Luo chairman & CEO of China Architectural Engineering said that "The market's continued demand for our unique, superior and cost effective architectural solutions once again clearly exemplifies our ability to expand across the world, while further building on our growing industry reputation. Today's latest Dubai contract builds on the USD 50 million project, our largest ever outside China, which we announced earlier this year.”

He added that "Our ability to expand within an existing client base as well as penetrate a new region in South East Asia is a reflection of the resilience of our business model, which allows us to continue expanding despite the current global crisis."
