
Construction Week reported that 3M has selected Danube Building Materials as its preferred provider for the Middle East construction industry.
The partnership will create a presence for 3M in Danube’s 26 outlets across the region, comprising 17 in the UAE, two in Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and three in India. It will also contribute to Danube’s expansions plans and revenue targets of USD 1billion by 2015.
Mr Rizwan Sajan chairman of Danube Building Materials said that “The strategic partnership between Danube and 3M represents a wide range of potential opportunities for both companies, and the collective aim to strengthen market presence in the Middle East region.”
Mr Fadi Medlej country business leader 3M said that “With our new partnership with Danube, we ensure that 3M’s development, products and technologies in the construction industry will be accessible throughout the Middle East.”
He said that our partnership brings to the region the abrasives, specialty adhesives and tapes that is certain to increase the efficiency, productivity and profitability of manufacturers and consumers across the local industry. At the same time, the presence of 3M products at popular outlets such as Danube’s stores positively increases our footprint and our presence in the region.
