Market source said that for the low price level of oil and production decrease, many oil projects were suspended into the United Arab Emirates. The demand on seamless pipes keeps going down forcing foreign suppliers to reduce their prices to the UAE.

At present, the quotations from China, South Africa and Romania maintain the same price level with last month. And it is said that the seamless pipe market won't be improve until October.

The demand on seamless pipes is weak in the UAE's local market. The import decreased a lot. The data from customs shows that the UAE imported 2,156 tonnes of seamless pipes in the first 4 months of 2009, compared to the same period last year with an import of 13,101 tonnes.
