Gulf News reported that Drydocks World has inked a deal with a Norwegian company to build a wind power offshore platform that will be the biggest ever built.
The deal was signed with Norwegian energy company Aibel in Dubai and the project, which has an expected delivery date of December 2013, is part of a bigger scheme to build 10 new wind farm clusters near Dollart, Germany, in the North Sea.
Mr Jan Skogseth president & CEO of Aibel said that although many companies had bid for the project, Drydocks was chosen because of Dubai's established reputation.
