
ENKA wins power construction contract in Iraq
The Turkish company ENKA has won a contract for the construction of a new power plant in Iraq.
The Ministry of Electricity said that minister Mr Kareem al Jumaili signed the contract with ENKA representatives in Baghdad.
The USD 235 million contract is the latest in a series of deals with foreign firms which aim at putting an end to power outages in the country in two years. The plant to produce 500 MW will take 16 months to complete.
