Egypt plans gradually to remove subsidies for the cement, fertilizer and iron and steel industries.

Mr Hatem Saleh the industry and foreign trade minister of Egypt said that the policy which was agreed on during a national dialogue between the government and businessmen will also include the gradual removal of subsidies for the food industry.
