Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC has commenced delivery of API 5L X52 line pipes for Daleel Petroleum LLC ahead of schedule.

Daleel is one of the leading oil producing companies in Oman. The pipes supplied by GIPI are 18 meters in length and the very first such pipe length to be supplied to customers locally and in the GCC region. Senior Management from Daleel visited the GIPI Manufacturing Complex in Sohar to witness the on going production and loading of their consignments.

Daleel Petroleum is involved in exploration, appraisal and production of hydrocarbon reserves located in Block 5, onshore Oman approximately 450 kilometers north west of Muscat.

Mr Moza al Adawi COO of Daleel Petroleum said that “We are happy to witness the pipes being manufactured, loaded and dispatched to our site. We are proud to have supported a local manufacturer and pleased to see the high tech facilities being operated with high regard to safety and professionalism from start to end."

The extended length of 18 meters pipe rather than a standard length of 12 meters significantly reduces the end user's construction costs by over 30% on Welding, NDT and other associated costs as well as substantial improvements in the speed of project execution. Additionally, a local manufacturer brings other synergies to the customer on just in time delivery, less handling and related logistical challenges as well as providing a cushion against any damaged products which can be immediately replaced.
