A number of interesting market sales finally stirred the Pakistan recycling sector as two suezmax tankers and one FSU were confirmed sold to local buyers this week.
Larger tankers are of course the preserve of Gadani buyers particularly as no gas free for hot works certificate is required from Sellers as in Bangladesh and India.
The NYSIROS (24,323 LDT) and the NAROVA (23,939 LDT) were the two suezmax units in question and were committed for a firm USD 440 per LT LDT enbloc.
The other market move for the week saw the large FSU unit AILSA CRAIG (32/150 LDT) sold for a price believed to be region LISD 430 per LT LDT.
