Honeywell has announced an expansion of its Iraqi investment with the opening of a full service office in Basra. Honeywell’s second office to open in Iraq since 2010 will further strengthen the company’s commitment to its customers and partners.

With a larger presence in the country than any of its competitors, Honeywell will use its new office to deliver leading edge automation and control solutions, equipment and services. The new facility will also support the company’s training and sales capabilities throughout the country.

Mr Chris Spear VP for New Growth Countries, Honeywell Process Solutions said that “Iraq is on track to become a leading supplier of oil to the world within the next decade. To do this, the country and its workforce require significant private enterprise investment. Honeywell is fully committed to playing a role in Iraq’s reconstruction and development efforts, providing best in class technology as well as training the Iraqi oil and gas industry and workforce.”
