
Iran Daily reported that Iranian vehicle manufacturer Iran Khodro Company plans to start exporting cars to Nigeria.
Mr Peyman Qorbani the IKCO's Africa and Europe area director said that the IKCO is currently in talks with Nigeria. IKCO has production facilities in Senegal, Egypt and Mali. The facility in Senegal has annual production capacity of 15,000 cars.
Earlier this year, IKCO announced its intention to produce 850,000 cars in 2011. Of this, the IKCO expects to export 75,000 or about 9% of total output. Last year, the company exported 40,000 cars or 30% of its total production. The bulk of its exports comprised of the Samand model.
