
IRNA cited Mr Ali Ziar MD of Iranian Oil Pipelines and Communications Company as saying that about 70% of Iran's crude oil and oil derivatives are transferred by pipelines.
Mr Ziar said that about 53 billion tonne per kilometer equal to 109 billion liters crude oil and oil derivatives were transferred to different consumption centers nationwide last year. Presently, more than 320 million liters of different kinds of oil derivatives are transferred to different provinces in a single day.
He added that in 2010 about 56 billion tonne per kilometer and in 2011 about 53 billion tonne per kilometer products were transferred to the consumption centers.
