
MNA reported that a Syrian economic delegation who is on a tour of Iran has signed agreements with Iran in the fields of electricity, health and water.
Mr Majid Namjou energy minister of Iran and Mr Imad Khamis electricity minister of Syria signed MoU on supplying Syria with electricity, importing transmission and distribution equipment, establishing generating plants and installing automatic remote reading systems.
Another agreement covered the establishment of waste water treatment plants and setting up a water resource management plan in Syria, according to the agency.
The Iranian energy minister said that the Islamic Republic is ready to reconstruct the facilities damaged in the fight between security forces and insurgent groups in Syria. The Islamic Republic of Iran will not leave Syria alone in such a difficult situation.
