
Mehr News Agency reported that Mr Ali Akbar Mehrabian industries and mines minister of Iran met with Mr Nicolas Maduro Moros foreign minister of Venezuela in Tehran and reviewed ways of expanding economic and industrial relations.
Mr Mehrabian said that both mutual projects that are currently underway as well as future projects were discussed in the meeting. He said that "Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad president of Iran will travel to Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia next week to hold talks with the leaders of these countries.
He added that a large trade and economic delegation from Iran will accompany the president. The delegation will meet directors of major companies in the Latin American countries and discuss trade issues with them.
The Iranian official said that the main topics in the meeting with the Venezuelan foreign minister consisted of the mine industry, technology, oil and gas.
Mr Nicolas Maduro Moros said that Iran and Venezuela have large mutual projects currently in the fields of energy, technology, industry, finance, trade, agriculture, healthcare and culture. He said that the 2 countries have devised a roadmap for developing relations.
He stated that realizing the objectives of this roadmap from 2010 to 2020 will be achieved through strategic unity which is the path towards peace and friendship.
