IRNA reported that Mr Mohammadreza Rahimi first VP of Iran inaugurated the country's biggest solar power plant here in northeast of the country. Established by Iranian experts the solar power plant is equipped with tracer system and solar panels.

The solar power plant would generate enough electricity to supply Khorasan Regional Electric Company. The power plant would generate 72,000 kilowatt hour electricity each year.

Developing and using clean energies, making optimum use of the energies produced from the regular fuels, boosting the power plants output, cutting the environmental pollution, stabilizing the voltages in the region and upgrading the power generation capacity are among the main objectives behind the set up of the plant in Mashhad.
