MENAFN reported that the Iraqi state run North Oil Company participated in studying and preparing oil contracts that will be held between the Oil Ministry and firms.

Mr Manaa Abdullah al-Obaidee GD of NOC said that "NOC has been seeking to hold these contracts since more than year and a half."

He said that "We participated in all the steps that the contracting process has passed through.”

He added that “NOC is affiliated with Oil Ministry and cannot work against its will.”
